BBB Issues International Alert: Online Pharmacy Seller Using BBB Trademarks to Market Drugs
For Immediate Release
[Arlington, VA, July 29, 2005] -- The Better Business Bureau system today issued an alert about online pharmacy sites that are displaying the BBB's trademarks to market drugs on the Internet. People from every region of the United States are contacting the BBB to inquire about the legitimacy of a "business" that is targeting consumers through spamming. The e-mail messages contain claims that the company is "Verified by the BBB" and include a hyperlink to different web sites all using the same name MyCanadianPharmacy, Ltd. (not to be confused with Canada Drugs, Ltd. that owns www.canadadrugs.com and www.mycanadianpharmacy.com).
The web sites involved in this scam use at least the following addresses:

www.newhealth-pill.info
www.loveamericaonline.inf
www.pillsathome.info
www.onlinepills4u.info
www.directmedz.biz,
www.tabletsforall.info
www.exclusivetablets.info
www.pills4life.info.

All of the web sites use the same template, display the BBBOnLine Reliability Logo and an untrue message claiming to be "Listed at Better Business Bureau." This practice misleads consumers and violates United States trademark, counterfeiting and copyright laws.

These sites are in no way affiliated with the Better Business Bureau. The BBB does not recommend visiting these sites, as there is some evidence that the sites may try to download software to visitors' computers.

The Council of Better Business Bureaus is unable to identify precisely who is behind these fraudulent Web sites because whoever registered them submitted phony contact information to the registrar. It does appear, however, that most of the spam messages originate from Korea.

To check if a particular company is a legitimate participant in the BBBOnLine program, go to www.bbbonline.org/consumer/. A BBBOnLine Seal MUST be clickable; meaning that once one clicks on the seal, a confirmation window opens and explicitly states that the company is a participant in the BBBOnLine program. Also, the address bar on that BBBOnLine confirmation page must show an address including "http://www.bbbonline.org. MyCanadianPharmacy Ripoff and a Fraud Sells Generic Medication From India Advertises Name Brand Toronto Ontario

This company is a fraud. They may use an address in Canada, but their medication comes from India. On their website they advertise "name brand" Viagra and Cialis, however, what they send is loose packaged (not even factory sealed) by hand, generic pills.
I called the 1-800 number many times...and left emails for them at support@mypharmacyportal.com and they never responded.
Don't waste your time with these frauds.

Interesting how when someone shares their expereince with one of these "scam pharmacies" as not being scammed how the post gets deleted. Seems to me whoever moderates this board is trying to simply attack others. (maybe they own a competitive pharmacy) BEWARE of where you get your information!

I am all for posting info about scam pharmacies when it is correct. But for your information I know of at least a few of the pharmacies listed here as "scams" because they have the same phone # with different sites and whois info to be nothing more than affiliate programs. I have ordered and received a real prescription from a real doctor and the prescription was filled at a real USA pharmacy. I checked both the Dr. & Pharmacy info that was on the pill bottle and it all checked out.

So....my two cents, get all the facts before you do anything. But don't always assume everything is some sort of scam either. I have since ordered multiple times from a pharmacy you have listed as a "scam" and have been happy every single time. The product was shipped when stated and was totally legit. They were a little overly eager to get more business and sent me lots of "re-order" emails, but after asking to be removed from that list I didn't receive anymore. Just my experience......
