CITRUS HEIGHTS - Police have recovered about $100,000 in stolen merchandise and arrested four women connected to what police described as a dedicated shoplifting and robbery ring. In the past few months, the group hit stores in Citrus Heights' Sunrise MarketPlace as well as malls and shopping centers in Folsom, Roseville, south Sacramento and Arden Arcade, said Bob Landry, a captain with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department. About a dozen officers served search warrants in Citrus Heights and Foothill Farms on March 31. They arrested Denise Holden, 40; Rosaline Sarente, 24; Masada Pongyan, 23; and Jevona Wilson, 23. The women face preliminary court dates next week on a variety of charges including possession of stolen property, robbery, grand theft and burglary.
