Central Plains Book Manufacturing

A friend of mine ordered a shipment of books from a company called Central Plains Book Manufacturing located in Winfield, Kansas. When they arrived they were mostly defective. He was never able to get a refund from them for the defective books and when he posted comments about it online they tried to sue him for defamation! When I looked into it I discovered other people were complaining about Central Plains Book Manufacturing as well on various blogs. My friend removed the comments but I just thought people should be aware of this company and their business practices. If you are thinking of printing a book don't use Central Plains Book Manufacturing.

Re: Central Plains Book Manufacturing

Well, looks like Central Plains Book Manufacturing also owes the IRS $300,000 in back taxes...

"The bankruptcy case is complicated by a $300,000 lien by the Internal Revenue Service on Central Plains assets for back taxes, Swartz said."

I feel sorry for any customers who may have already placed deposits on print jobs before they declared bankruptcy.
