There seems to be tons of consumer complaints about Westlake Financial business practices. Can anyone share light?

Well,just like all of you, I was glad to be able to find someone that would finance me because of my bad credit. But after calling Westlake and talking to Jeff I feel that this was one of the worst mistake ever. You see, I purchased a car April 04, 2005 and did not drive it one week before I started having problems so I called Westlake to let them know that I had purchased a lemon. I spoke with JEFF and he told me that he really did not care, as long as I made my payments. Today is June 08, 2005 and I still don't have a car to drive. The place I got my car from(Quick's auto sales) has been trying to fix it, and lending me een more lemons. But, on June 01, 2005 my sons had a wreck with the loaner car, so once again I'm without a car. I've decided to let the people that I brought my car from and is now working on can keep it and Westlake can go get it from them... I'm fed up!

I also financed a automobile with Westlake Financial. I made my payments with a bank cashiers check, meaning the money had to be in the account for the check to be issued. My paydays changes, paid the "LAST" working day of the month, and I informed Westlake of this arrangement from the very begining. I would get the cashiers check, have it made out to Westlake Financial, and placed it in the mail the same day.
I have since paid off the loan. Now they are saying that I have late charges on the account, and holding up the title. AT NO TIME WAS I NOTIFIED THAT I HAD LATE CHARGES. My payment statement reflected only the "remaining balance".
I DO NOT PLAN TO EVER FINANCE AN CAR, TRUCK, BOAT, OR TOILET PAPER WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. IT IS A VERY UNDERHANDED, SHADY, UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY.
i WOULDN'T POUR A BUCKET OF WATER IF THE BUILDING WAS ON FIRE!

Liike so masny other people, my husband and i was in financial crisis. we also needed a van, so the dealer fixed us up wityh this wonderful place called westlake. whast a joke. everything was fine uintil i got sick and my husband lost his job. would they work with us. nO!!!!!!!! INSTEAD THEY CALL MY WORK PLACE EVERY HOUR, EVEN THOUGH I'M ON MEDICAL LEAVE WITHOUT PAY, THEY PROCEED TO TELL EVERYONE THEY TALKED TO, OUR PERSONAL BUSINESS. BAD BUSINESS PRACICES. THEN TO MAKE MATTERS WORST WE OWED TREE PAYMENTS AND MY HUSBAND DIED. THEY WERE CALLING EVERYDAY TO SEE WHEN THEY WERE GOING TO GET THEIR MONEY AND EVERYDAY I EXPLAINED MY LOSS AND THEY WOULD GET THEIR MONEY AS SOON AS I COULD GET IT. wHEN I ASKED FOR THE PAYOFF IT WAS 3 TIMES WHAT MY INVOICE SAID THEY TOLD ME IT WAS LATE FEES AND IF I DIDNT PAY IT OFF IT WOULD BE CHARGED OFF AND WHEN I DID GET IT PAYED OFF, IWOULNT BE ABLE TO PLATE IT BECAUSE IT WAS ONLY IN MY HUSBAND'S NAME. iPAYED IT OFF TODAY AND!
THEY CAN STICK IT RIGHT UP THEIR NONENGLISH SPEAKING REPRESENTATIVE ASSES!!!!!!!!

I have been going threw a heap of bulls@@@ if you know what i mean.It started out i had to pay 257.00 a month and then after my first payment they called me and said my check i wrote them bounced i said that is imposible.ihad 300.00 in my bank for my payment.then they contuine to tell me well there is a prossing fee the place that i bought the truck had a problem with the finacing of my truck and that my payment was not 257.00 it was 302.00.and i said well when i signed the paper stating that i would do the loan it stated my payments were going to be 257.00 not 302.00.so i said i will give you 257.00 a month or you will not get anything.and i also informed them that i would be contacting my lawyer.they came back and said no sir that wont be necessary we will lower your payments to 257.00.so if any body goes threw westlake fin.DONT DO IT THEY WILL TRY TO F@@K YOU BIG TIME.

I have a different concern about this company. This is a very strong allegation that i'm about to make but maybe someelse may have shared a similar experience. I purchase a chevy Blazer from a dealer on Vermont (can't remember the name), i believe it is a Ford dealer, anyway, my truck ended up stolen (actually towed) as i had an alarm/kill switch. About a month later, a close friend of mine had her car stolen (hers was also purchased from the same dealer). Her car also had alarm/kill switch. Botboth my truck and her car war recovered in Mexico!!. This could be a coincidence, but when you think about it the dealer knows your address. Just a thought.
