Walmart Rude Crude and Very unacceptable managers Dalton georgia *Consumer Suggestion ..It sounds like someone has a few screws loose

I just moved into town and the bank gave me counter checks there was not a single grocery store in my area that would take these. So I call Walmart the switchboard lady switched me to services. I asked if they acccepted over the counter checks and I was told yes they did.

I drove 25 minutes to get there purchased $145.00 worth of groceries needed and at the check out the lady turns on her light and a manager comes up and looks at the check and very loudly and rudely says we don't accept these. I advised them I called and was told that they were accepted. She demanded a name and I told her services and that I did not think to get the persons name and she threw my check at me and told me to rip it up would be her job and people were in line behind me.

It was so embarrasing so I left my groceries sitting there and immediately found a main manager who kept saying he was sorry and that he would say something to the customer service manager, but he was in a hurry and had to go there was an emergency. What bugs me is that they were so rude and I wasted my time and gas to drive over there and they did not know what they were talking about. Last time I shop at walmart!

This doesnt surprise me at all, most mal warts are the same. My last experience was a smaller purchas but much the same. I was just there for a case of pop on the way home, Price marked on the shelf was $3.83 for a 12 case of A&W diet rootbeer. When I got to the register the cashier tried to charge me $9 for it. I told her that couldnt be right as the price was marked as being much less, but she said it was still $9 anyways. I told her they could keep it.

Since I've learned how mal wart truly operates I'm less surprised at this behaviour. They're not in it to give comsumers "better prices" as they claim. They're a very exploitive company, they often buy only from 3rd world suppliers for pennies on the dollar where the production staff are paid pennies, litterally. On top of that they're own store staff are minimum wage with no benefits of any kind (ie. must take the overpriced company "health plan" on their own dime). Its no wonder that sort of place attracts staff who are either high school kids looking for part time work or those not qualified for any truly decent work.

I should point out mal wart is hardly the only corporation with that sort of unethical behaviour.
