Please Exercise Caution When Dealing with These Folks Due Diligence would be Necessary Submitted: 1/23/2007 4:19:47 PM Modified: 1/23/2007 4:20:00 PM Startup Essentials - USA Card Services - A1 Leasing - James One Whoever Or Whatever Else They May Be Called Internet Marketing Small Business Start-up Scam Dallas Texas Company Startup Essentials Address: 4455 LBJ Freeway Suite 501 Dallas Texas 75244 U.S.A. Phone Number: 866-552-8845 Fax: I am posting to warn others of the high pressure sales pitch and deceptive marketing practices I encountered during a long phone conservation with representatives of Startup Essentials last evening. These people are praying on unsuspecting individuals who have most probably lost their jobs, as I have, and are very. very vulnerable. I feel very stupid for falling for the pushey sales pitch, when every thought going through my mind said "RUN, this is a SCAM!!!" After over two hours of cajolling by several people, I relented. I signed a contract on line, then, they presented the disclaimers. Had I known of them before hand, I would have hung up on them. I intend on sending back the laptop and any other materials they may send me. The laptop will cost over $1400.00 if I keep it for the 48 month length of the contract, and it probably is not worth half that. I can contact my bank and try to keep them from taking any money from my account, but if I need a lawyer to fight these people, I do not know how I will be able to afford one. I will try to contact the other companies involved here to cancel the contract but do not know how successful I will be. Garry La Mesa, California U.S.A. Ripoffreport.com

I use to work for them. If you have any questions, I will be happy answer them. To my credit, it was years ago...I needed a job, even as bad as I needed that job...I quit after 3 days. I couldn't stomach what we were doing there to these honest entrepreneurs. I felt bad for anyone associated with that company, even my co-workers. You see they hold these "meetings of empowerment" like 3 times a day. To me it's slightly shy of brainwashing. These phone agents honestly believe they are serving the greater good. They keep them pumped with these "testimonials" from happy clients...whom were all dirt poor 20 days from eviction with all utilities discontinued from service and no hope insight until GOD BLESSED THEM AND SOMEHOW WHILE SURFING THE WEB FOR A JOB AND DEFERRING THEIR DREAM OF BUSINESS OWNERSHIP...THEY STUMBLED ALONG OUR WEB SITE...now they have cars and boats and no valid email addresses to confirm this. All that along with the loud music that drown the senses and those career telemarketers didn't know what hit them. Ite's sad really. And I feel so so sorry for ever have worked there. P.S Training is three days long, so I quit before getting on the phones. So I didn't rook anyone of you guys personally |
