I was sent a post card in the mail for a $500 gift certificate and dinner for 2 and $30 in fuel, plus a stay at a Radisson Hotel of my choice. the dinner and hotel stay required a $75 "refundable" deposit at time of registration. ahd $19.99 for document delivery the address was Florida Leisure Products, P.O. Box 13686, Dayton, OH 45413...it said to allow 10 to 12 weeks for delivery. I went to the Hampton Hotel in Simpsonville, S.C. where I happened to be (which is where the card was forwarded from) and was told that I couldn't see the presentation as my husband was not with me. No mention of this was given by the telemarketer who answered the phone # that was on the address forwarded from Simpsonville. The call number was 1-888-289-9091. No one gives something away for nothing and I hope this report will save someone from wasting their time and money. I was also told that the home office for Flp was in Lake Worth , Florida...I checked on line and found no business there. Hopefully someone especially the authorities will check out the information.

I too went to the Hamptoin Inn in Simpsonville. The thirty minute presentation last an hour and a half, and I discovered that this new home store is a buyers club and Travel club that cost $3000.00 to join. The free $500.00 dollar shopping spree cost hundreds in shipping and handling, and the free motel cost 19.99 to receive the vouchure in three months. I sent nothing. This company is also known as GSN Global Savings Network, and is based in Dayton Ohio and also Houston TX. The Better Business Bureau report in these locations is unsatisfactory. The Fl location is in Pompano Beach Fl and is affiliated with the BBB in West Palm Beach. They have applied for membership but are uner investigation at this time. I have filed a complaint with the BBB in West Palm and I would encourage other s to do the same. This company was asked to leave Hampton Inn and the following week end was asked to leave Holiday Inn Express in Simpsonville. I have further contact info on this company if any one is interested. Definately a scam. |

I rec'd a yellow card in the mail today which said "You Did Not Pick Up" Parcel #(hand written number) and PLEASE CALL IMMEDIATELY 1 888 338 2227. WILL HOLD FOR 72 HOURS The card was from "FLP, PO Box 13686, Dayton OH 45413". I was expecting a parcel, so I assumed this was it coming by some some obscure carrier. I tried calling the number repeatedly for a few hours... always a busy signal. When I Googled the company name I found that it appears to be this Florida Leisure Products, and I am mad that they would send a card in the mail that appears to be for a package that needs picking up when in all likely hood it is a scam.  |

If you can get through, find out which motel is having the presentation, and notify them of the scam. They can call Hampton Inn Simpsonville SC or Holiday Inn Express Simpsonville for a reference on this company. Both motels asked them to leave. DO NOT give FLP your name. I would be interested myself in knowing where the company has moved their promotion, if you don't mind sharing your general location. |

As of 3:06 pm EST 02/07/2007, I read a post card addressed from: Flp PO Box 13686 Dayton Oh, 45413 also with the "You Did Not Pick Up!" and the number to call of "1-888-338-2227". At first one would think that it could of been from a delivery service, except I am NOT expecting a package and have not received any notice about anything being sent. The phone number being toll free can not be found on a reverse look-up, nor can a post office box number. The address however is a valid post office address. The cancelation on the post card is from Houston Texas. Well this sure fits the info found here! I have not read much here about the details of this scam. Can someone tell me more. Thanks |

The scam is in the free gifts. They are not free at all. The presentation is for a buying club that cost $3000.00 to join. Florida Leisure Products is also know by the name Global Savings Network or GSN. If you do a Better Business Bureau report for Global Savings Network in Houston TX or Dayton Ohio you will learn a lot. They also have an address in Pompano Beach FL. The BBB report in Fl is OK because they are very new at that location. I have filed a complaint in Fl. It will catch up wth them soon. |
