Pioneer Pacific College

I'm beginning to see more of these poping up. Anyone have knowledge of Pioneer Padific College.

I am currently getting ready to start my final term with this college, and I use this term loosely.I enrolled in the Healthcare Admin. program, what a mistake. If I hade known what this school was going to be like from day one I NEVER would have enrolled. We were told on day one that we were the first ones to ever take this course from this college so we were the ginii pigs. That should have been my first sign that things were not going to go well.

But I had never been to college, and I had graduated High School almost 10 years ago so I didn't know how things had changed. I really wanted to get a job in the Healthcare field so I stuck it out. I recieved really good grades my first & second term. By my third term we started getting teachers that basicly took the job for the money. They didn't really want to give you any information that would help you prepare for a test or exame, because and I quote "Takes up to much of my time", so we had to figure out what might be on the exames on our own.

The real kicker is when a student refused to due a paper that was assigned, but then when she found out that she failed the class the teacher let her turn it in the following term. Well that same term she recieved a B in our Billing II class that she only did 2 assignments in but yet the teacher had her marked down for all of them. Me and another student that had gotten almost straight A's the entire time she was there got C+'s in the class. When asked why our "attendence" was not taken into account they said it didn't count in non medical classes, so basicly only the MOA students get that perk.Well the teachere said on the first day of class that it would help our grade if we were on the boarder of getting a better grade. 3 points is pretty much on the boarder don't you think? Well Jody didn't seem to think so and wouldn't go to bat for either of us on our grade.

The helping you find a job after you graduate is also a big joke! They find out that a student get's a job with no help from them and they want you to be in their success book. I will never inform that school that I have gotten a job, because they do not help and they do not deserve the credit for my hard work.

I am not going to rock the boat while I am still in this place but once I get my Degree in October I will be sending the school a bill for my time waisted. I encourge other students to do the same. I was told by Heather when I signed up that once I was done with my Degree I could get a job with a start out pay of anywhere between $12-$15 an hour. Well if that's what they think I'm worth that's what they will be paying me for the waist of my time in classes like, General Office Procedures, no offense to my teacher because she is great, Intro to the Internet, thanks I think I know how to look on the internet,a Filing class that was a joke, but again the teacher is great, Algebra, something that I highly dout I will use later in my field, professional development, I wouldn't use that resume they made me do if my life depended on it, Business & Management, I'm not sure what we were suppose to learn there because the teacher was a flake, this list goes on but I have tried to block out some of them. The school will get a bill for all of this and more, but once I have my expense piece of paper. I will also be writing to the Better Business Bureau as soon as I am done.

I will gladly help Alicia and Velda with any actions they would like to take up against this school. Alicia knows how to get a hold of me Velda.

Re: Pioneer Pacific College

Hi Lisa,

Hopefully you will read this, because I just stumbled upon it and noticed you posted a long time ago. However, I know exactly what you are talking about. This school is the biggest fraud around and I am 100% qualified to say so.

I attended PPC and received a degree in the Computer & Networking Technology degree program. It is so worthless that I wish I could sell it back to them for the $10,000 it cost me.

The teachers I had almost all of them were unqualified and not able to effectively teach the classes. Only 1 teacher (The program director) was knowledgeable and possessed the knowledge capable of making the class learn. The only problem was that even this teach could not set a classroom to maintain any discipline to have the students actually learn. The school didn't seem to care if we learned anything or not and just passed us regardless. Personally I knew more than the instructors while I was there and obtained many industry certifications while going to school there, PPC did not help in preparing for these exams.

When anything was even remotely tough and actually required the students to think and apply themselves, the students would ***** and complain and just get their way and be passed with A's. For example: We had a SQL Server class that is used in a lot of businesses, but all the exams they gave us were copied from an online source. This was a real big bunch of bs, because this was the case for every class. The students could use their books during the exam and the Internet. How can you possibly learn like that? You can't! Every single class this happened and no one, absolutely no one learned anything. In my opinion not one person that graduated with a CNT degree is capable of working in the real world doing those types of duties.

I am now a Network Administrator for a big company and it was no thanks to PPC. Those joke pictures they have in their success books are all coincidence only. The MCSE guy for example ... it used to be real easy to braindump your way through the MCSE NT 4 program (something anyone could do that went to PPC). That just is not the case with the new MCSE 2003 track.

I once ran a website about how bad PPC ****ed. I want to reopen it but I am afraid of legal action being taken against me by the jokers. Thanks PPC for wasting almost 2 years of my life and money for a worthless piece of paper that is not even accredited by almost EVERY other college.

LOSERS!
