John LaTourrette is a slippery fellow currently selling a number of trainings and DVD type courses such as "Silva Ultramind's Remote Viewing and Remote Influencing The Next Evolution in Mind Power by Dennis Higgins and Dr. John M. LaTourrette, Ph.D.", which contains a fraudulent claim regarding the author John M. LaTourrette. LaTourrette is most certainly NOT a Ph.D, and in fact purchased his Ph.D from a non-accredited corresponce degree mill called Columbia Pacific University. This phony degree mill was found to be illegally operating in the state of California and shut down. A simple Google search under the Columbia Pacific University will provide you with ample proof of findings of fraud and the closure of the phony degree mill. He is John M. LaTourrette's 17 page letter selling Kahuna Magic for $2500 for a 2 day session. After taking it he claims you can do everything from cure cancer to become a millionaire to get more sex (of course). This letter purports to be from Jack Williams, which is one of LaTourrette's aliases. So he wrote his own testimonial! |

Slippery in what way? I've NEVER seen him act in slippery ways. Just the opposite is true: Dr. La Tourrette doesn't beat around the bush. He gets straight to the point. Last edited by Scrub; 05-19-08 at 05:58 AM. |

Here we have it, the rantings of the fanatic "true believer"s like Jim Knippenberg here, who will do ANYTHING their guru master John M. LaTourrette bids them to do. Why don't you learn to think for yourself, instead of paying money and tribute to your master? It is hard for anyone to miss the emotionalism in your rantings. I am not sure what "techniques" you refer to, and you are not specific as you as so busy ranting that you fail to give ANY basis for your claims. So John M. LaTourrette taught you to pick up more women? Is that what you are saying here? THAT proves he is a real Ph.D, or what? No one needs relationship problems, but you have offer zero proof of anything. You might have had the same result if you talked to a good friend. Or perhaps you were just being a jerk, like you've been in your ranting, insulting post here. Women don't like jerks. But let's stay on topic here. Mr. Knippenber, you seem to think that by demeaning me in your post, you somehow legitimize the snake oil claims. You are merely trying to divert the reader's attention from the real issues. Since when is it the consumer's duty to have to justify wanting to verify the credentials of someone who is practicing medicine without a license? It should not be so. If your Guru John M. LaTourrette has somehow found a way to skirt proper medical licensing regulations, and finds a legal technicality to maintain his Ph.D claim under, that does not in any way translate into proof of anything other than that he is in fact very slippery, and very clever. Bravo! Here here! But, what evidence do you have, specifically to support and prove your claims?? Instead of ranting and raving like a lunatic, why don't you publish legitimate, verifiable proof of specific cures or whatever? Because it doesn't exist, that's why. You are lying through your teeth, and all of this makes me wonder if you somehow see yourself as part of the guru's inner circle. And perhaps you too are selling your own brand of snake oil, and there is money in it for you too. Are you doing this? Perhaps you'd like to share with us exactly what YOU are selling? I think you're in this for the money too, and that is really your motivation. That and being under the spell of your guru. Your spirited defense of hucksterism with no verifiable proof of anything is nothing more than hot air. When you have verifiable, documented and referencable proof that has been published in a legitimate peer-reviewed medical journal or similar publication, please, DO post it. We all know nothing like this exists, but for the sake of this discussion, I'm offering you the opportunity, along with your Guru, to verify your claims in a scientifically correct manner. Bring it on! |

Really, really clever. So, by a thin window of time, you are able to claim legitimacy of a Ph.D based on a legal technicality? This kind of online nonsense needs to stop. Columbia Pacific University IS nothing but a degree mill, and was finally outlawed. Where did you serve your internship? Under what licensed psychiatrist or pychologist? At what accredited university or hospital? What professors evaluated your Ph.D dissertation? What academic journals have you published in? What research studies have you completed and validated? The truth is you can't answer any of these questions because you did none of the above. You are a liar and a fraud. AS for the wordiness of your reply, the continuous insults, they are merely designed to cleverly draw attention away from the real issue. So WHAT if you "really do know Huna" Curing cancer just by thinking about it? Bull****. Do you have any documented cures that were witnessed by competent researchers?????? I'm not talking about your obviously smitten and deluded followers, but legitimate authrorities. YOU ARE NO MORE QUALIFIED OR LICENSED TO PRACTICE MEDICINE THAN A CHIMPANZEE IS. Let's be real here buckwheat....you are in this for one thing, and one thing only, to deceive people into buying your quack wares and enrich yourself by making them think you are the answer to all that ills them. Your reply hasn't fooled me a bit. Your constant stream of invective and insults towards me only goes to show how desperate you are to keep selling your snake oil. You want to discredit my point of view so you can rip more people off, and keep your followers paying you more money too. My name is Dave Demster. It's not an alias. YOU'RE the one with the alias Jack Williams. In your marketing scam piece you use his name to claim he was a millionaire in 4 year using your snake oil. Fine, why don't you publish his financial records right here on this forum PROVING THIS???? You going to do that, pal? And why would you want my address? So you can have some of your disciples go and kill me? I'm serious. Having a band of lunatics chasing me around does not sound good. People like you are scary. This reminds me of cult leaders like David Koresh and Jim Jones. Their disciples would not only kill for them, but take their own lives too. The fanaticism of guru followers knows no bounds, as the post by your devoted follower Jim Knippenberg below shows. |

In order that the FULL story of the degree mill called Columbia Pacific University be known (NOT just Mr. LaTourette's version) I am publishing some additional research and links: I'm sure LaTourrette will call all of these sources liars too. http://www.ptreyeslight.com/stories/...99/ruling.html Here is one relevant paragraph from the above link: "An independent administrative law judge in June 1997 upheld the Council's call to shut the school after finding that Columbia Pacific administrators awarded "excessive credit" and "failed to employ duly qualified faculty." The following December, Rubin with the Attorney General's Office sued Carr and Colombia Pacific "to compel [the university] to stop illegally operating." Rubin called the school "a consumer fraud, a complete scam," and "a diploma mill." The suit finally resulted in the preliminary injunction against the university which was appealed in March of this year. In rendering her decision, Judge Duryee noted that the testimony of satisfied graduates doesn't amount to complying with the law. "The decision is not whether or not the students are dissatisfied," she said. "I mean that is not the test. It's like saying, you know, that prostitution should not be illegal because the customers are satisfied. It's not the test." Carr, a resident at 148 Wilson Hill Rd. in Chileno Valley, and Richard Crews of Mill Valley founded the university. Carr has also drawn criticism for his role in other ventures." So, it was the conduct of Columbia Pacific University PRIOR to 1997 which LED to it's closure in 1997. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...igher_learning The Warning Signs paragraph of the link of List of unaccredited institutions of higher learning above shows the following: Warning signs Main articles: Diploma mill, school accreditation, and United States Department of Education Not every unaccredited school is a diploma mill - all schools start out unaccredited. These are some of the warning signs which may indicate a diploma mill: It lacks accreditation by a nationally recognized accrediting agency, especially if it is accredited by an accreditation mill. Words denoting a legal status such as "licensed", "state authorized" or "state-approved" are misused to suggest an equivalence to accreditation. The address is a postal box or mail forwarding service. Promotional literature contains grammatical and spelling errors, words in Latin, extravagant or pretentious language, and sample diplomas. Degrees can be obtained within a few weeks or months from the time of enrollment, back-dating is possible. Faculty members hold advanced degrees from the institution itself or similar organizations. Academic credit is offered for life experience, and this features heavily in the selling points of the institution. Tuition and fees are paid on a degree basis rather than on a per-semester, per-quarter or per-course basis. Prospective students are encouraged to "enroll now" before tuition or fees are increased, or they qualify for a "fellowship", "scholarship" or "grant". It has no library. Doctoral theses and dissertations are not lodged with the Library of Congress or other national repository. The school's website looks amateurish or unprofessionally made. Now, it is true that based on a legal technicality, degrees issued before 1997 were considered unaffected because of the practice of "grandfathering". The bureau further stated that students who received degrees or credentials from CPU before June 25, 1997 should not be affected because the school had legal authorization to operate until that date. This merely means that the school was allowed to issue degrees. It does not mean that the school was accredited or that employers should regard the degrees as representing education equivalent to that of accredited schools. During the 1980s, an official of the California Postsecomdary Education Commission confirmed to me that CPU had been authorized to operate but was not accredited [4]. http://www.quackwatch.org/04Consumer.../News/cpu.html And here is the official time line of events leading to Columbia Pacific University's closure: http://www.bppve.ca.gov/press_releases/cputime.htm I wanted to give MR. LaTourrette his due, and research his claims of his degree's validity. As I had suspected, he has managed to slip through a crack in the regulations, but it in NO way means he has an accredited degree from an accredited institution. LaTourrette says "I've left this link up because if anyone with an IQ of 80 reads it, they will know that accuser is a liar, a man with a criminal mind that is slanting the facts to distort the real truth, and to intentionally slander me." I find it interesting that he uses the phrase "criminal mind" here, as that is exactly what his mind is. After all, it takes a "criminal mind" (his own words) to come up with a scheme like his, and to cleverly skirt the legalities. And if he can't prove any of his claims of cancer cures, etc. isn't that fraud? Perhaps if there is someone on here that is member of the legal profession you could enlighten us as to the particulars. But I say, if it quacks like a duck, smells like a duck, then it's a quack. Pretty simple. He has failed to provide proof of ANY peer-reviewed published research in an accredited medical or other professional journal that would support either his degree being granted by accredited peers or any such scientifically proven research that supports his outrageous and fraudulent claims of such things as cancer cures, etc. While his bluster and threats may intimidate the uneducated, it is clear that until he can prove otherwise, LaTourrette is nothing more than an egotistical blowhard at best, and much more probably a profiteer who is making fraudulent claims so he can rip off the public by using his guru status to make them think, as he claims in his 17 pages of propaganda, that he can do everything from healing them from cancer to make them rich. Where IS the scientific proof, then, MR. Latourrette? Like I told your lackey, bring it on!!! |

It's been awhile...more than 2 weeks, in fact, since I challenged John M. LaTourrette (also known as John M. La Tourrette and Jack Williams) and his lackey Jim Knippenberg to supply actual scientific proof of his outrageous claims of everything from cancer cures to get rich quick schemes. Of course, as I suspected, NO such proof of any kind has been posted here. All their back talk was nothing but a bunch of hot air. Attempting to obscure the search for truth by blustering. This might fool some of their true believers who need a tit to **** on instead of standing on their own two feet, but it was barely amusing to me. I never believed for a New York minute that there would be any proof, not one shred of proof of any of these claims. So, I've tried to do a bit more research on my own. Interestingly, my suspicions of Jim Knippenberg were right on the money. Literally, in fact. He is selling a couple of courses himself (big surprise, huh). One of them is called "Secretly Seduce Her While She Sleeps" and the other is called "Doc's secret of how to be a Mafia hit man" (yes, this is none other than Doc LaTourrette). Okie dokie then! So now we've gone from snake oil sales, and simple online consumer fraud, to major felonies.....the taking advantage of a woman while she sleeps, and murder for hire! Check out Knippenberg's blog at http://mindcontrolcentral.blogspot.com/ You REALLY need to check this out! I just couldn't quite believe it, and still can't if you really want to know the truth, but there it is, right there on the web for every person on the planet to see. No doubt, there really are some ****ers, and some very nasty people, who will actually buy this ****. Unfortunately, we're not law enforcement here, just a public service site. You'll have to search for the courses using your Find feature in your browser, his blog is long and wordy with all the hype spewed out. The offending items are under his 10/11/06 blog for the Hitman and his 8-25-06 blog for the Seduce Her While She Sleeps. In his blog, he links to a web site he claims he owns called www.mindcontrolcentral.com. However, the web site does not work. Now I wonder why? Could it be possible that some internet service providers don't want their web site advertisers selling information on how to rape women while they sleep or how murder for money? Gee, I don't know, maybe so...what do you think folks??? In my opinion, the obscene duo of John M. LaTourrette and Jim Knippenberg are the biggest couple of hucksters I have seen in a very long time. But more than that, just like religious charlatans such as Jim Jones and David Koresh, these people are actually dangerous, and will stop at nothing to achieve their aims. And these aims, just like the rest of their ilk, are to control others to rip them off financially while fooling them into believing they have the keys to some sort of "higher power" and slowly doling out the "secrets" to those that are loyal them. This doesn't just piss me off, it makes me want to barf! This is really sickening. |

So, after coming on here blustering and ranting like a stuck pig that his Ph.D was "approved", he now gives up his claim to his fake Ph.D? Is this guy something else or what???? (Just found this on Scam.com at http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t...ght=Tourrette) John M. La Tourrette has given up his fake Ph.D claim on his web site, now back up and running again. www.mentaltrainingsecrets.com. Instead, he is now claiming to be an "Ordained Minister". One might think that after having the crap pounded out of him on forums like this one, he "decided" that holding himself out as a Sports Psychologist when he had no license was not a good idea. Ya' think? Or did the authorities finally shut him down? |
