Hi I got this website information from Scrub over at www.scam.com I am known on that site as Nika, but this site wouldn't take a 4 letter user name. I got roped into this scam, but not by choice. I had a lady call me on 4/15 and ask me if I sent her a $15,000 check. After figuring everything out, I guess she was on yahoojobs.com and E-Zchkcash.biz came up asking her to "apply". She entered in a little bit of information and three days later she received a check via UPS with a check she was told to cash. The check had my name, my spouses name, our address, our equity account, AND my spouses signature rubber stamped onto it. Being that this was a personal check, she decided to figure out if it really true. She called Wells Fargo and found out it was an active account (however it didn't tell her that no funds were available on this account-so if she was to do what she was told-cash it and keep $750, send the balance, $14,250 via Western Union to some account that I guess ends up being in Russia, it would have bounced on her). So we are the victim of identity theft. We had to close this account, change banks, call the sheriff, FBI, Secret Service, IFCC and the three credit agencies. Then I found scam.com and found out how huge this scam really is. I would like to help to see if there is anything we can do. I talked to Jeff Hughes in Washington and he seems to be bummed that there is really nothing we can do since it goes over to an account in Russia, it's really hard to stop these guys... What do we do?
