Pay Cards/cash Cards From Employers!
Watch out for these! A lot of employers and Temp. Services are going to these. They either want you to Direct Deposit or take these Pay Cards.
The one I experienced: You were allowed 1 free transaction for every two-week pay period. Was told Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger and etc. took them. Wal-Mart and Target never saw or heard of them, would NOT take them! If you have more than 1 transaction you are charged a per use fee of $ .75 and up! They have a minimum withdrawal amount of $ 20.00. So if your balance drops under $ 20.00 you can't get the money! Also found out that if you don't use it for a period of time, they take out a fee for "non-use!" We work hard enough for our pay! We should NOT have to PAY TO GET OUR PAY CHECKS! I am starting a drive with my local Representative to get these outlawed in the state of Ohio. Anyone want to join? |
