UK National Lottery

Another scam, but I don't know what they would gain from it. They do not ask for money or personal private information such as banking, social numbers, etc......Yet

Re: UK National Lottery

Oh yeah, they DO ask for money. I got the same letter stating I had won 350,00 pounds. After a few days and I hadn't heard from them, I sent them an e-mail. They then gave me three options of couriers to deliver my check. Option 1: (2 working days) 899.75; Option 2: (3 working days) 977.95 and Option 3 (1 working day) 1180.00. They used the pound sign, but the totals were in dollars. The couriers involved Fedex, UPS and DHL.

I had to respond within 24 hours and the deadline was one week after receipt of their e-mail.

Following that they sent me a Verification Form, including my occupation, phone number, ticket and serial number -
could this be my SS number?

The original winning notification sounded SO legitimate, I believed them and already had the money spent in my head. This isn't the first time I've gotten fraudulent mail about winning fabulous amounts of money, but this one really had me going. Please be warned.
