My husband and I received this check in the mail along with a certificate claiming that we had just won 65000 us dollars in the international lottery.

We asked how this was possible and if it was a scam when we called the number, the representative assured us it was not a scam and is based whether you are a tax payer. with the given information we cashed the "Taxes" cashiers check and took the money to have a money gram sent to Debbie Harrison in Canada, and then called the number back as instructed to have our remaining 61000 us dollars sent by certified mail.

The check never came and we called everyday to see where the check was and everytime we were reassured the check was on the way. Then the Cashiers' check that we cashed was returned (bounced) and we tried to contact the company again multiple times. We finally looked it up on the internet to research the company and found out it was all a big scam that costs alot of money and inconveniences.

We are now attempting to get what money we have lost back through the proper authorities and banks. We were very ignorant on the whole scam and didn't do the research we should have, but it was a believable line of BS and a pretty good scam. Now we are also having to pay bounced check fees because the scam overdrew our account and we don't have the funds to replenish what we were scammed for.
