Tricks Tactics Strategy Employ By Scammers - Check Cashing Scams

THESE ARE SOME OF THE TACTICS, TIRCKS OR STRATEGY THAT ARE BEING EMPLOY BY SCAMMERS
NOW LOTTERY CASH WINNINGS/MYSTERY OR SECERT SHOPPERS BOTNET COMPUTERS

Let me give you an idea who we are dealing with. The RING LEADERS behind this nonsense have Phd's and MA's. They are graduates from some the the best universities and colleges. MIT, STANFORD, HARVARD, CALTECH, etc. The best minds. They are no flunkies ALL....

1. Google Sponsored Ads - Bogus Employment Offer/Bogus Employment Search Firms
We are seeing more sites claiming to be legitimate employment, staffing or recruiting agency. Don't be FOOL, this is just another of the many tricks these THUGS are up to.The goal of these thugs is simply to COLLECT resumes from Monster, Careerbuilder, or Hotjobs. More of these sites are now populating the internet.

Example of Site: Fortis Finance Bv -
url: http://ff-bvonline.50webs.com/fortis/aboutus.htm
Note: These thugs changed sites within six to forty-eight (6-48) hours according to the FBI

2. Sites with different urls / The Company Name does not MATCH THE URLS
They are no longer listing web addresses for BOGUS sites we have identified nor are they creating new sites like falling leaves. Instead, they looping, linking, or routing these sites under different url. For example, a calling itself Easy Money would have a url www.barrettco.com. Look to see if the site name is the same as the url. This have since changed. We are dealing with highly SKILLED Professional CRIMINALS.

3. Stolen Identity of Legitimate Companies such as CardService International and Others
The Identity of Legitimate Companies are now the preferred SUBSITITUE for NEW SITES making it a challenge to separate the "LEGITIMATE ONES from the BOGUS SITES. See related thread. http://www.scamfraudalert.com/showthread.php?t=1038 (Cardservice International www.csvcareersite.net)

4. Internet Chat Rooms
Instant messaging such as [yahoo, AIM, etc.] are now becoming another source of RECRUITMENT.
TAKE NOTE ALL.

5. Free email addresses are appearing for all JOB OFFERS by SENDERS OR SCAM RECRUITERS.
Always check the email addresses and the originating IP Address

6. Constant NEW EMAIL CHANGES NEW WEB SITES OR NEW EMAIL ADDRESSES

8. Loan or Debt Consolidation/Fee Payment via Western Union However, they will still need to RECRUIT ONLINE. This is the easier way to recruit new victims. We can SMOKE THEM OUT ALL Inrcreasingly, we have see GRANT AWARD BECOMING THE # 1 means of ATTRACTION. EASY MONEY

9. LOTTERY WINNINGS - They will send you a BOGUS WINNING CHECK and INSTRUCT you to cash it and take a percentage.

10. SECERT SHOPPERS - Consumers are being tricked into applying for jobs as SECERT SHOPPERS and are subsequently send a check as payment for work performed. The check send is always in excess of the amount owe the consumer and they required the consumer to cash it and to send the difference via western union or moneygram to these scumbags.

11. BOTNET - COMPUTERS are now the mean of source of these sites.
What is a Botnethttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Botnet

12. Newspaper or LOCAL ADS It appears like these SCAMMERS have resorted to placing newspaper ads. We are seeing more consumer complaints resulting from local ads. It appears like this is just another avenue for them to employ.

A good example of a botnet see this server being highjacked:
ns1.profdnsprovider.biz

Local Newspapers are now carrying these Bogus Employments offers. Rural Areas ARE PRIME TARGETS.

Scam Artists Hit U.S. Residents with Counterfeit Postal Money Orders

From The U.S. Postal Inspection Service: The U.S. Postal Inspection Service reports that a fraud scheme is making the rounds through Internet chat rooms and auction sites, in e-mail messages, and over the telephone is costing victims in the United States time, money, and a not-so-pleasant chat with bank and other officials about passing counterfeit postal money orders.

According to postal inspectors, the counterfeit money order scam begins when someone contacts a victim through an Internet chat room or online auction site (SEEE ATTACHMENT BELOW) claiming to have financial problems or needing help to cash domestic or international postal money orders. The person in need often claims to be living in a foreign country (usually Nigeria), but the scam artist can cook up the scheme from any location. The scam artist is simply looking to recruit someone in the United States to cash the money orders and return the funds via wire transfer.

U.S./UK/Canadian residents are lured into the scam when they are told they can keep some of the money as a gift or payment for their help. Unsuspecting victims provide their home mailing address to the fraudster and are told they will receive a postal money order that they should deposit into their own bank account. After receiving the postal order, the victim is to immediately send the money via Western Union or conventional bank wire transfer to a bank or person located outside the United States.

Victims learn the postal money order is counterfeit only when they attempt to cash it, or when their bank account takes a hit for the full amount when the bank refuses payment on the bogus deposit. For more information about postal money order security features, visit the U.S. Postal Service Web site
