Hi All, I almost bought into Ameriplan out of Plano, TX. They offer a discount for Rx (prescriptions), Dental, Vision, and Chiropratic. However, what they don't tell you is after you send in the Dr. information, they try to sell the Dr. on the idea. I was supposed to be contacted by the Sales Person who handled my area, never heard from a soul. So then I called the State of Ohio Dept. of Insurance. My contact there informed me they are in a huge investigation of these companies. They offer discounts of "up to 60-80%" on the above listed services. They also offer one on Medical services, for an additional fee of course. The person who buys the promotion pays about $ 20-30.00 per month to cover the whole family. No one gets those high discounts. Per the Dept. of Insurance in Ohio you have to have a License to sell Insurance. The way they are getting around no license is they call you a "broker" not an "agent." Oh, they also state on their brochures that "this is NOT Insurance!" But they are still stealing money from people and not giving them anything! Check with your Dept. of Insurance for your state. They will be happy to give you the correct information. This is ANOTHER company that once they have access to your credit card or checking account, you really have to fight to get it stopped! These companies go by several names, there is even one calling themselves Nationwide, leading people to believe that they are getting this via Nationwide Insurance. Not true! NO Connection |

Innocent...yeah RIGHT. READ ALL ABOUT THE ONLINE BUSINESS SYSTEMS http://www.scamfraudalert.com/showthread.php?t=657 (The Online Home Business Systems (Herbalife)) Quote:

Phone Number: 469-229-4500 Fax: I was searching for a home based business and medical & dental care. I joined as a broker and was automaticly a member after they received my money. After looking through the program I realized the company was not an honest one. I canceled both as a broker in the due time allowed and as a member as I did not believe this would be of any help to me. I never received a refund. This was in July of 2005. I believe this is a bogus selling tactic to sell software and then the company cannot be reached when the broker or member are dissatisfied. I have a phone number of 1-800-550-9726 that I was given when I tried to cancel and get a refund. This is the Bank I Credit Card Services dept. I also have copies of communication via e-mails. I was distrought and now more concerned that many others are losing money as well. I just want to join in any class action suit or court events that may have to take place to receive a refund and justice. I totally disagree, I have used Ameri plan USA discount benefits and have saved more than the advertised discounts several times. To the persons who have not actually joined or used the benifits I strongly suggest you not preach about something you know nothing about. This company is real and I have seen many friends become wealthy!! |

Health Insurance Submitted: 3/31/2006 11:24:35 AM Modified: 4/9/2006 9:06:59 AM Ameriplan Health Discount Ameriplan ripped me off and took my money for no services rendered Ripoff Plano Texas *REBUTTAL employee ..I'm sorry you had such a bad experience, but... Company Ameriplan Health Discount Address: 5700 Democracy Drive Plano Texas 75024 U.S.A. Phone Number: 800-647-8421 Fax: After being ripped of from Ameriplan I found this website about Ameriplan and see that this is a repetitive thing of them is ripping people off, doesn't surprise me. On March the 17th I signed up with Ameriplan Health Discount. Where I don,t have health insurance I thought that Ameriplan would be a good deal for me and my Husband. For signing up the initial payment was 89.95 with monthly payments of 59.95. I was happy when I got my Packet and happy to recieve some kind of discount at the time, where I am diabetic. I called around to see if I could a docter in my area to go to. When I couldn,t find a docter I called up Ameriplan and asked for help. They said that they would get back in touch with me within 24 to 48 hours, to try to find a docter. Well after about 4 days of trying to find a docter in the network, I get a call from Ameriplan telling me that there were no docters in my area that were no longer in the network. I told them that I wanted to cancel my Ameriplan account. The representative on the phone said yes hold please, I was put through this recording stating that I needed to submit a letter in writing or fax within thirty days, stating that i wanted to cancel my account. Well I called back Ameriplan and spoke to a representative by the name of Josh. I asked Josh, If I fax a letter wanting to cancel my account is the inital payment of 89.95 going to be taken out of my bank account anyway. He said, No it would not as long as I put my name, my member number, and stating that I wanted to cancel my Ameriplan Account between that night and the next day. After I got off the phone with Josh I faxed a letter stating that I wanted to cancel my Ameriplan account and put all my information on their. The very next day I checked my bank account and saw that my 89.95 was post marked to be taken out the following day. Needless to say I am pretty much ticked at this point. Josh you lied to me. I called Ameriplan back and spoke to someone by the name of Mark and said I want to know why my 89.95 was taken out of my bank account when a rep told me it would not be? He explained to me that Josh misinformed me. ( Misinformed my foot more like not telling the truth). He then explained to me I would only be refunded the 59.00 back and they keep the thirty dollars. He said I could fax saying that I wanted a refund. Well I ain,t going through route again. Since I was lied to the first time. I said so,I was ripped of. Mark says I would not say that, well I would because I got taken for 89.95 for no services rendered. I asked Mark why is it that there are no docters in the network in my area. He explained to me because when the docters sign up in the network and get enough patients they pull out. ( Well, I hardly buy that scheme either.)I asked Mark since I requested to have my account canceled on March the 28th when will it be canceled. He said May the 3rd. I found that interesting since that is when my first payment of 59.95 would have been taken out. I called my bank and put a stop payment on 59.95 to be sure I dont, get ripped off of that either. I know it don,t take that long to cancel and account. I told Mark that I am contacting better business bureau, the insurance commissioner and Legal aid. USA, Ameriplan is the biggest rippoff, do not let them get away with taken your money. There are two things in my life no one messes with is my money and my children. Submitted: 8/11/2004 10:19:04 PM Modified: 4/22/2006 1:04:27 PM Ameriplan USA Rip-off Would Not Refund My Money When I Returned Package. Did not refund my money when I returned the package Texas *REBUTTAL employee ..Ameriplan USA is NOT a rip off Some people are NEVER HAPPY Ameriplan USA is a member in GOOD standing with the Better Business Bureau Company Ameriplan USA Address: www.NewBrokerTraining.com Texas Texas U.S.A. Phone Number: Fax: I made the unfortunate mistake of joining Ameriplan USA. I bought into their hype and lies at first. I soon realized Ameriplan USA is a scam and they rip people off. I ordered the broker kit from them for $310 After learning how the company operates in such a dishonest manner, I returned the broker kit back to them promptly. I called Ameriplan on the phone. It's a long distance call each time to call them, they don't provide you with a toll-free one. After calling them and speaking with a rep they said I would get my refund in 30 days. It's been over 30 days now and I still don't have my refund. Right now, I and reporting Ameriplan to Ripoffreport.com and the bbb.com for not refunding my money like they said they would. I urge anyone out there if you are considering joining Ameriplan, do NOT. Ameriplan USA is nothing more then a MLM pyrmamid scheme and they will rip you off given the chance. I hope this message reaches many others out there before it's too late, and Ameriplan rips you off. Robby Texas, Texas U.S.A. |
