AICS, LLC is seeking any and all of the above professionals for immediate short and long-term assignments in response to Hurricane Katrina. You will work directly for one of the FEMA contractors assisting state and local governments in performing damage assessment. Initial assignments are always estimated to be between 60 to 90 days but could be shorter and usually longer, nothing is guaranteed as to the length of any assignment. Candidates need to be willing to commit to a minimum of 3 months to be favorably considered.
You will be expected to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days per week regardless of the weather so dress is field dress for at least the first 45 days of this assignment. All hours are paid as straight time plus daily government authorized per-diem rate for the area in which you are assigned. . At some point beyond the initial 45 days of the assignment and every 30 days thereafter you may be authorized up to 4 days and round trip expenses will be reimbursed up to the regular coach air-fare rate to any destination not to exceed the regular coach to your point of origin.
Air fare, rental vehicle and lodging will be arranged by your employer. You must have a credit card with sufficient available balance to check into a hotel even though the vehicle and lodging cost as stated above will be directly billed to your employer. Use of privately owned vehicles will not be authorized.
We are looking for individuals with a minimum of 2 years experience in their related field of expertise at the entry level. Professional Registration (e.g. P.E., EIT, AIA, CPA, etc.) a minimum of 5 years in their related field of expertise at the mid level and Professional Registration and 10 years experience in their related field of expertise OR Bachelors Degree and 15+ years experience in their related field of expertise at the Senior level
Previous disaster damage assessment or debris removal experience and FEMA Public Assistance Ops I certification is a big plus.
