I borrowed 250$ in February 2006 for an emergengy. I read the fine print and UCL said they would take out 50$ every two weeks and the loan would remain open. I didn't really understand this and figured part of the money would go to the balance.

That was MY fault. They took out four payments of 75$ and I figured I was close to paying the loan off. I tried calling and calling even on different days and the number they gave me ALWAYS had a full mail box so I couldn't even leave a message. I e-mailed five different times and nobody e-mailed me back.

I figured I was close to paying off the bill.

On the 4th time I was charged 75$, I put a stop payment on all 75$ tranactions on my account. They proceeded to take out 50$ and then 60$.

I was finally able to get a hold of someone and asked her what I owed and what I need to do to pay off the loan. I still owed 260$!!

I asked her how I had to pay it off. She told me that I needed to call three days in advance, they would fax me a paper to SIGN and I had to fax it back. If not they would take out 60$ and that would be applied to the balance. I NEVER recieved a fax. I didn't sign anything. They ended up taking out 335$ without an e-mail, a call, anything.

I plan to take this to court, but I am planning on changing my bank account anyway. 745$!!!!! For a 250$ loan.

Please, if you are thinking about taking out a loan, DON'T.

Don't make these a**holes rich. All you get is the runaround, lied too and a big Headache.
