Re: Liberty League International aka Libertyleague.com | | Thanks Skeptic Al for writing back. I was almost sad that I didn't hear a direct reply last night. You know, I get what you're trying to do in steering me away from thinking MLM's are great businesses and you want me to see the "the light." Maybe you'll get all happy and excited that you "saved" me, if I see it 'your' way, don't really know. To each his own, Skeptic Al. Like I said, in my business I give people the information, tell them to do the research and leave the choice UP TO THEM. It's THEIR CHOICE to join me or not. I don't twist arms or hype up my monetary claim. Maybe that's why my business is slow but again, it's how I choose to do it. It's MY business! But again I tell you even working the mass numbers and finding the few that WANT to do it, in that few I make money while I sleep (because I work a regular job on the Graveyard shift.) I set the ground work .. read that again..WORK .. and make a piece of the pie.
A couple of years ago I was in a company, an MLM that I didn't care for the marketing plan but I loved the product, used the product. In fact I used the product to make a "regular" business (totally acceptable by that company .. in fact endorsed to do so.) I had a business plan, tax ID numbers, paid taxes, no employees just me, had loyal customers...the whole nine yards. It was great ... until it started to grow..fast.. and it was just me running the whole thing. Now a few years back I ran a larger business with some partners dealing with heavy equipment and I remember the nightmare we went through. I just wanted to have my "little"' hobby based business for extra cash flow and here I was on the brink of expansion. I guess most people would call me dumb for not growing it, making more money they would say but I really didn't want the headache. I enjoyed it for what it was and I wanted to do the work MY way without having other people interfere with my name planted on the workmanship...I take pride in a job well done. So I didn't let it grow and eventually I let it subside. My loyal customers were loyal to the end and still keep in touch, bless their hearts. Now my direct sales business...NO employees ("independant contractors" doing their OWN thing), Expansion Headaches, YES, Nightmares, NO and finally a piece of the pie. Really Skeptic Al, is this soo bad?? If I decided to run with it and make more money so that I could live a little better, would you litter my lawn with propaganda about SCAMS and such because I worked a little harder to make a down payment on a decent little home in a nice little neighborhood?? You should check out your neighbors scams they are conducting ... the world is full of the ones really trying to make ****ers out of you. Not saying that some MLMers are like that because there are a few bad apples out there but I think the rest of us are linked onto the dream of paying down debt and affording to do some things that our regular Just Over Broke J.O.B.s don't afford us to do. Sure it sounds good to make a million plus dollars and drive Bentleys and live in the "Beverly Hills" of your neighborhood but from 10 years of being in "opportunities," Most people are looking to put an extra few bucks in their pocket and are EVEN skeptical of the big hype (it's nice to dream forward but lets look at reality here) Most are soo far in the negative hole thinking about themselves to do really Big things and think Big ideas that they can't even think Big Dreams!! I think what I've learned out of my experiences with "MLM's" is that Attitude is Everything, I Can Do Anything I put my mind to and Great leaders are made, not born!! By now, you're probably scoffing my every word. Well, if you'd like to challenge that last statement .. you are welcome to come over and look at all my "real" world accomplishments .. non MLM! |
